Karena ku belum siap

Izinkan ku masuk ke ruang hampa ini..
Ruang kosong tak penghuni
Dan hanya detik jam berdentang lirih berirama

Dan biar ku meringkuk di sudut ruang ini..
Hingga hanya kudengar..
Jantungku yang berdetak tak laju...

Kudekap kedua kakiku
Biar makin kurasa
Hantaran gelombang di dada...

Aku ingin membagi rasa ini...
Pada ruang hampa tak berjiwa...
Biar dia tak bersuara menyapa...
Biar dia tak bertanya mengapa...

Karena ku belum siap dengan jawabannya...

I am back and started with Andalas Island

Fuih...

It is such a history for me in terms of leaving this blog without a posting at all for almost 4 months. What was happening?
i dont know... i cant name some reasons such as busy, no ideas, etc...

But now... i am back...

Lets we begin my new experience when i was in Palembang. Actually it was my first time in Sumatera Island... (sounds so corny ha? hehehe... but i dont really care...).

What was i dong there?
Ok... i was attending a national seminar in pharmacology. Since i have been working in this field, it seems it was my responsibility to be there... (responsiblity??? hahaha... not really...).

Actually, the meeting was taking 2 days... and i have to say sorry... i did not get alot of things in that meeting....
For me... the meeting was arranged badly... seems lacking of coordination... i think the underlying reason was a few people took responsilibity on that function... I am sorry for being honest..

However, since it was my first time i didnt want to waste my time by regreting... I should enjoy the trip and food...
Pempek? hmmm.... i dont like it... even some people suggested the best pempek ever... for me... the best one is still in my hometown... hehehe

I like cruising along Musi River...

Orchid House

Many weeks ago..  I and my colleagues went to Pelaihari, Disctrict of Tanah Laut. It just took around one hour from my hometown to be there. Actually it was a work day which was on Tuesday (?). Our purpose was signing a contract between our university and local government. As we will conduct a big project in this local area, so... we were there....

According to my colleague, we should be there at 9 am. However, when we was there, the major had another meeting. WHAT!!!! Later on... we were informed that there was an understanding between major's assistant and us. So... we had to wait until 11 am...

Since we did nothing, then we were invited to see "flower house" (Rumah Bunga)... Here are some pics i took.

Those rocky ice

When the day is getting old..
And the heart is getting blue..
And my breath is getting shorter..
When my lips are getting tired to convince...
My patience has been reaching those limits..
I become an apathis...

Suddently, those rocky ice cubes have been melted...
God... Thanks

It was marvelous....

The perfect time

Say if you have kids…. Then one day they decide to study abroad… When do you let them go?

My personal opinion, I won’t let my kids study abroad for getting bachelor degree. I do it just to decrease the harm of study abroad.

Studying overseas is very good to give them perspectives how to be independent, to manage themselves well, to choose one from many options, and to take responsibility. They have to take care (mostly) by themselves.

However, if they are not mature enough, it will be disaster. Let me give you some examples when I was studying abroad. I have known very well some university students from other countries. Most of them are pursuing bachelor degree. In average, they are in late teens and early 20s.

Living in other country and far away from their controller (parents) makes them (sometimes) out of control. Going out until midnight, partying all times with alcohol as main beverages and accessing adult material freely are just a few examples. If they have no good self control, they will experience what we call as culture shock. These experiences are more difficult for students from strict religion countries or country with rigid culture.

Can you imagine, in your own country to get adult materials whether from electronic or print out stuffs, you have to be like a thief. Always be aware as if anyone spies on you. But overseas, anything is on displays. Looking for adult magazine? You just need money. Entering the sex shop? You just need ID card declaring your age is over than 18 years old.

For me, people in early 20s still need parents as their guidance and role models.
