Floriade

Yesterday, it was a tiresome day for me. During mid semester, my friends invited me to have a trip to Canberra, Capital City of Australia. That was my second time in Canberra.

There were so many places where we looked at.
1. Cockington Green Gardens. It was an interesting place. If you like crafted miniature building... this is the right place. Now, i have proven by myself how beautiful it was because last time... I just can see that from Faisal Al-Sabati's files when he and his friends went there.

2. Floriade. It is a flower festival. You can see Commonwealth Park transformed into a tapestry of colour with more than a million bulbs and annuals in bloom. Tulips... that the flower i had never seen in Indonesia, and i do not have to go to Dutch for seeing that. It was amazing... we can see white, pink, red, purple, yellow tulips. So beautiful...(mode James Blunt is singing: ON)...
If you have time between September 15-October 14, please go there.... spring is the best season in Canberra. FYI: it is for FREE... yessss!!! For FREE...

3. We moved to Parliament House. It is another landmark of Canberra and is also for free. Even if you come inside...
4. Then we went to Australian Contemporary Museum.
5. Then Australian War Museum (Anzac Museum).
6. Finally we were at the top of the hill. From this hill, we could see Canberra. And we broke our fasting there. It was cold... but interesting... We met some midle eastern people. They said "assalamualaikum" when they knew we were having iftar (breaking the fast).

Me and friends in front of Anzac Museum (Wayan, Eni, Me, Ali).

Notes: Pic 1 and 2 were Ali's collection.

Quite interesting. Seems this could be a place worth a visit. If I had that million bucks to spend.
And yes, my friend, if you get your hands into a million bucks then you must come to Netherlands to see tulips growing on the fields.
