DESERT ROYAL

This was the second book written by Jean Sasson I read. As the first book (Daughters of Arabia), this book told mainly about the gender equality. Sultana, as a main character in this book, was a princess of Al-Saud family. This was a well known and very wealthy family. Again, in this book, Ms Sasson detailed about problems within a mixture marriage (western and middle eastern), a domestic violence, women and girls trafficking for sexual purposes, and how men treated women. It was based on a true story. Everything was disclosed unless the identity.
When I looked at the main issues of this book, it was not new ones. It was still interesting, even though the first book was more interesting.
