Pais, Guguduh wan Baingka'an

Hmmmm what kind words are they? Are there any relation between them? May be it is crossing in your mind. Ok.... those words are Banjar language. Why do I post it? Because this morning was my 2nd meeting for Method Field subject in Faculty of Art and Media, University of Sydney. (I told you before about my casual job). And today they asked me in little bit detail about manything. They indirectly demanded me to dig out my ancient memories about those. Honestly it was quitely difficult, because my mind has been contaminated by Bahasa and English... so I had to show big effort to cope with that. But It is OK... so far i enjoy it...

For instance: Jeremmy Herman explored about law and order in Banjar. He asked me Banjar language for gun (sinapang), police (pulisi) , thief (maling) etc. He asked me either what is Banjar language for demonstration, protest, court, judges, solicitors... Anyone can help me???? Anyway... for Banjaress, we do not have spesific terms for those words, do we? And another Jeremmy asked me about Islam... how we do shalah, kiblah, sajadah, etc... I have had problems with this topic... because we mostly use Arabic term for this, not Banjar language.

Allan and Amy asked me about family and the relatives, such as father (abah), mother (uma), brother/sister (kaka, ading), uncle (uwa/julak), etc.
Anna was more corious about vegatation and animals such as batang puhun (tree) and bakantan.

Aki asked me about fruits such as banana (pisang), rambutan (rambutan), pineapple (kanas), jack fruit (nangka), durian, PAMPAKIN and traditional food such as PAIS, AMPARAN TATAK, banana friters (GUGUDUH/GAGUDUH), etc.

Carla and Monica asked me about traditional games (karasmin).. such as BAKALIKIR, BALUGU, BAINGKA'AN, BAASINAN, etc.
