Journey (I), Heart beated moments

This topic was inspired by Tari's and Aya's blog. They wrote about a year their life in Oz. Even I have lived here less than a year (about 10 months), I think there are a lot of things that I wanna share since I was in Indonesia right before I came here.

Actually, I applied scholarship in 2004, but the confirmation I should study abroad i got about one month before i came to Oz (August 2006). Hence, I did not prepare well. I was not even sure that I should be here in Oz... because I just asigned the contract about two weeks before departed date. Fuiiihhhhh....

Finally, at the end of August, i leaved my family, my friends, everyone in Indonesia. My little brother dropped me to the Syamsudin Noor Airport, Banjarmasin. My feeling was mixture of exciting and lil bit affraid also, cause that was my first time to go abroad, ALONE.... hmmmm....

The plane brough me to Ngurah Rai Denpasar Airport, but the plane should land at Soekarno Hatta Airport beforehand. At Soekarno Hatta, I should ran to departure gate to take my Oz dollar from money changer maid, because i had no money at all. My laptop on my shoulder swough everywhere...
For your information, I went to Oz without money at all from scholarship provider (HWS). Fortunately, my faculty leant the money. Thank you Dean... :)
My scarry experiences were just begun...

After I got money... i should run (again...) to the plane that would take me to Ngurah Rai Airport... Uchhh.... i am not an athlete... so i though i needed more oxygen for breathing... hahahaha

In Ngurah Rai Airport... the second scarry experience happened. When the immigration staff checked my passport, they asked me a letter from "Sekretariat Negara" that declared I hold blue passport (not private purpose). Because I did not know that I should brought that letter, i should pay the fee (1 million rupiahs... hmmmm...). I try to contacted HWS, but they said they already gave it to me?? To me???? hmmmm may be you gave it to someone else.... not for me for sure...
Furthermore, i never knew where the letter is... until i am here.... that letter had been at HWS office. They had not handed to me.... SH**.

After about 6 hours in the plane, it landed in Sydney Airport in the morning. I needed to take deep breath before I decided to catch the taxi.. cause my landlord can not pick me up at the airport. He should drop his partner to the doctor. OMG.... even in advance i had known no one would pick me up... i still felt terrible.... For you know... i should take English course in Sydney Uni before I enter the Uni... So it is obvious that my english is not good....

You can imagine.. how i talked to the taxi driver... and tried to give the instruction where the "homestay" that i never knew beforehand. Alhamdulillah... the taxi driver was a good man. He did not take the advantage on me, because i am a new in Sydney... Can you tell me what would happen to me when I was in Jakarta??? The taxi driver may be will charge me 2-3 folds..., right?
