Ramadhan in Sydney

This month is the 2nd Ramadhan for me in Sydney, Australia. Honestly, i do not like having fasting in here. I did not feel the atmosphere as i was in Indonesia. It is totally difference...

For me, last year was the worst Ramadhan I ever had. I just arrived at Sydney by myself. I had no friends and relatives who lived in here. Around a month later on, Ramadhan came. Having sahur in the midle of the night was not a problem, even i lived with non muslim family, i told them beforehand if i would wake up in the midnights for a month thus they were not surprised by me.. (I was affraid if they though i was a thief...).

Having activities in day time did not bother me at all. However, seeing people wearing hot pant and tank top... i did believed it would diminished the value of Ramadhan for me. I did not know how bad it was..

Tarawih praying? I should do that by myself...

And how about Ied Fitr praying? Astagfirullahaladzhim.... i missed it, budy since I had class on that day... Moreover, i did not know muslim community in Sydney, i did not know where i can found mosques.... it was too bad...

Fortunately, i paid the "fitrah". Someone helped me to do that. Alhamdulillah...

Now i am living in Newtown, a suburb where any types of people are living in.
How lucky you who live in muslim community such as Lakemba, Auburn, and Wiley Park...
You do know how Newtown is..

I hope this year will be a better Ramadhan for me and i can gain the holly spirit back just like a baby. Insyaallah.... please pray for me....

emang susah juga yah klo kita jadi minoritas. Berasa ga ada teman. hehehehe....

Tapi klo puasa banyak cobaannya, pahalanya juga tambah banyak.

Keep fighting, Oom!!!

Makanya, pulang aja, Om.
cuti ke kampus 1 minggu kan lumayan;)

My good friend, there are times in a man's life that I are submitted to experiences like those. I believe you had your difficulties, thus being a foreigner in a strange country. But I guess you are showing us that you had the strenght to carry on. And I guess that will only make you a better person. Keep well. We will think about you.

Post Scriptum - Hope no friends or relatives of you had problems with the earthquakes in Indonesia.

Oia tolong minta nomer mas bakhry dong, tapi lewat message diFS ato via email at nurhayanurdin@yahoo.com demi menjamin kerahasiaan nomer cellphonenya. Ntar kalo ada info terbaru biar bisa tahu juga, ok^_^
